A brand-new townhouse development consisting of 20 units is scheduled to begin being building soon. The development will be positioned at the northeast corner of the intersection of 19th and Wedgewood avenues. The 20 total residences will be made up of; 16, 4-bedroom units, and 4, 1-bedroom units. The property was acquired over the summer by a Fargo, ND based entity for around $3 million dollars.
The Fargo group has enlisted the Nashville based, Split Rock Development, to manage the project. Split Rock will have to demo some existing structures and are planning to begin that process immediately. Split Rock has developed the notable townhome sites on Hayes Street, as well as, the West End Park site at Long Boulevard and Avoca Street.
Those two townhome developments were designed with contemporary exterior, and Hillsboro Village is expected to share a similar aesthetic. An architect and general contractor are still being finalized but the project is expected to keep moving forward.
