Nashville Real Estate Market The weather hasn’t been great here in Nashville over the first couple months of the new year, which could be why it’s been a relatively slow start for the housing market in 2018.

According to new data from the Greater Nashville Realtors, January saw just 2,298 closings, which actually represents a 4.7% drop compared to January 2017.

Despite the apparent slowdown, median home prices for single-family homes in Nashville increased from $261,500 last year to $281,500 this year, while condo prices also jumped year-over-year from $184,350 to $210,098.

But while closings were down, pending sales are on the rise, going from 2,817 at the end of January 2017 to 2,951 at the end of last month.
