Chicago-area-based Red Seal Development is planning a new 29-unit townhouse development for a location in McKissack Park, according to a report out from the Nashville Post. If approved, the project will be the developer’s fourth project in the Nashville area.

For now, townhomes at the proposed development, which is being called 27th Avenue Townhomes, will feature three levels and range in size from roughly 1,700 to 2,100 square feet.

As noted by the Nashville Post, 23 of the units will be priced at market rate, while the remaining 6 units will be marketed and sold as “workforce housing” units without government incentives.

The development site encompasses about 1.45 acres and is located just across the railroad tracks from the Nashville Fire Department’s Station 19 at 520 26th Avenue North.

Developers are expected to meet with the Metro Council about a request to rezone the building site in early August.
