Sumner County Homes For SaleWhile the Nashville housing market may be cooling down a bit, demand for homes in nearby Sumner County still remains strong. 

According to a report from the Tennessean, a recent count of 849 active listings were available on the market over in Sumner County, resulting in just a two-and-a-half month supply. 

Inventory is especially limited for homes priced $250,000 or less and homes priced between $250,000 and $300,000 are selling in just 19 days on average. 

Perhaps the secret to Sumner County’s crazy real estate market right now lies directly with affordability. Home builders throughout the area are brining plenty of new homes to market with extremely competitive price tags. Specifically mentioned were Goodall Homes offering new homes starting

Nashville Housing Market Nashville’s housing market continued to cool last month as the Greater Nashville Realtors announced closings were down 8 percent year-over-year in September. 

Despite the overall drop in closings, however, single-family homes sold for a median price of $290,000 last month, which is up from $280,000 last year. 

Condo prices did drop, though, falling from a median price of 223,450 last September to $218,150 last month. 

Looking ahead, home sales figures for October look to continue the region’s downslide, and by a lot. According to the data, just 2,662 sales were pending at the end of September, which is almost 32 percent lower than the number of pending sales at the end of September 2017.

Nashville Area Townhouse DevelopmentGroundbreaking for a new 300-unit townhouse development in Old Hickory is scheduled for early spring, according to a recent report from the Nashville Post. 

A joint-venture between HND Realty and the managing partner at Chas. Hawkins Co. Inc., the project will be among the largest HDN Realty has ever taken on, and the first in Davidson County’s Old Hickory community.

As of now, a name for the community has yet to be determined, but its location will be at 915 Robinson Road, about three miles east of Madison. 

Rezoning for the project has already been approved by the Metro Council.
