Nashville Real Estate Stats: February 2017The Nashville real estate market is off to a strong start in 2017 and is showing no signs of slowing down heading into what’s usually one of the busiest times of the year for the housing industry. 

According to new numbers from the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS® (GNAR), the Nashville area recorded 2,507 closings in February, which represents an impressive 9.3% jump compared to February of 2015. 

Given February was a surprisingly mild month from a weather standpoint, a bump in sales isn’t terribly surprising. But when you also factor in January saw an 11.2% increase in home sales, the strong upward trend suggests we’re off to another very busy year for the Nashville real estate market overall.

The 900 Nashville A recent report in The Tennessean indicates Strategic Options International LLC has received conceptual approval to move forward with its first large-scale development in Nashville. 

Should the project eventually move forward, the new development, which is now dubbed The 900, will include 22 townhouse residences, 28 condo flats, and 1,600 square feet of flexible commercial space, which will all be built on a vacant 1.93 acre site at 900 Dickerson Pike in the rapidly growing Dickerson Pike Corridor. 

The 900 certainly isn’t Strategic Options’ only project in the Dickerson Pike Corridor, however. As of now, the developer has seven other residential projects in the works with at least four units, which includes a similar development to The 900 that
