Nashville 3Q2016 Real Estate Market UpdateWith the 3rd quarter of 2016 now in the books, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors has released updated housing statistics for the months of July, August, and September, and in just about every county throughout Middle Tennessee, residential sales were on the upswing.

In Davidson County, where of course Nashville is located, sales jumped from 7,682 in the third quarter of 2015 to 7,948 in the third quarter of this year; while residential sales in nearby Williamson and Rutherford counties, sales increased from 4,046 to 4,098 and 4,252 to 4,585 total sales respectively.

Nashville Real Estate Market UpdateWhile the number of home closings only increased by a slight 0.8% in September, the Middle Tennessee market is still seeing a 4.4% increase in year-to-date closings, according to recently released numbers from The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors. The most current figures now have 29,372 closings recorded for 2016, which compared to the end of September of last year, is up from 28,252. 

As the busier fall season starts to slow down, the minimal gain is actually somewhat expected, and with 2016 also being an election year, the market leveling of slightly was more than expected by many industry pros and economists.
