For the first time in many years, the Adventure Science Center will host a fundraiser to support science enrichment programs and the general operational fund of the Science Center. The Scientia Soirée—named for the Latin word for science—is not another black tie event! It will be an energy-filled evening including robots, LED light shows, delicious infused food stations and a surprise or two.

The Shelby Bottoms Nature Center is currently hosting a fantastic art exhibit, Quilts and Culture: The Art, Tradition and History of Quilt Making. The center piece for the exhibit is the Freedom Quilt created by the children of East Nashville Hope Exchange, a nonprofit organization operating out of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church. East Nashville Hope Exchange works to strengthen literacy skills of at-risk children in East Nashville. Throughout the year, ENHE organizes workshops, events, and projects for these students and their families that support school year learning and help family members support their children in reaching grade-level reading skills.

Season-tickets are on sale now and start as low as $15 per game. Half season-ticket packages start at just $25 per game and 13 Game Flex Plans allow fans to customize their ticket package while enjoying season-ticket holder benefits. Great interest-free payment plans are currently available for all Nashville Predators season-ticket packages.

At six home games this season, all fans in attendance will receive a bobble head. Fans can collect the full Predators player series by attending all six designated games. A full promotional schedule, along with the dates of the bobble head nights, will be available at a later date.

Mississippi native Charlie Worsham co-wrote and co-produced the eleven songs on his debut album, Rubberband, including the singles “Could It Be” and “Want Me Too.” His songs have been recorded by Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan and as an instrumentalist, Worsham has contributed to albums by Bentley and Eric Church. Songwriters perform in an intimate setting and invite questions from the audience.  Performances are every Saturday at 11:30 a.m., and are held in the museum's Ford Theater.

East Nashville's, Mr. Bond and the Science Guys are planning their 2nd annual “Science Spectacular” to benefit three worthy East Nashville organizations. One Saturday of each month from February through May, 2015, a free science show will be held at a different venue in East Nashville.

Attendees will be encouraged but not required to make a donation to the charity of the month while being treated to a show full of exciting experiments. Attendees will also have a chance to participate and perform some hands-on experiments themselves.

The monthly science shows will help raise funds for Shelby Park Nature Center, Salvation Army and EastCAN (Caring Action Network).

The Southeastern Young Alumni (SEYA) Charitable Foundation is ready to let the good times roll in our Mardi Gras best, with all proceeds going to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
